Charlie Horrell Chief Executive Office of Packet VisionCharlie Horrell is Packet Vision's chief executive officer. He was previously at Thomson SA, where he was COO of their €1bn set-top box division. Prior to that Charlie was CEO of IDP, a quoted French company specializing in software for interactive television. He also spent seven years with News Corporation - initially at BSkyB and then at Star TV in Hong Kong. During this period he ran business development, was general manager of the first media joint venture in China and was deputy general manager of Star Networks.

 

Patrick Christian founder of Packet VisionPatrick Christian is the founder of Packet Vision and chief technical officer. He has more than 25 years’ experience of hardware and software design in the data communications and telecoms industries. In 1993 he founded the consultancy company, Blue C Technologies Limited, which worked with many leading technology businesses developing advanced communications systems. He co-founded VegaStream Limited in 1998 to develop high performance voice-over-IP gateways. VegaStream was sold in 2000 to Pace Micro Technology plc for £20m returning an IRR of 149% to its institutional investors. Patrick has an MA and First Class Honours degree in Electrical Sciences from Cambridge University.

 

Barry Llewellyn Packet Vision VP of sales and marketingBarry Llewellyn is VP of sales and marketing. A co-founder of Catalyst Media Group plc - one of the first content-rich IPTV networks - Barry has also run international television channels with specific focus on marketing, press and PR, advertising sales, sponsorship and network development. He has executive board director experience on AIM and NASDAQ listed media companies. He has 25 years of experience in TV advertising airtime sales on a regional, national and pan-continental basis for various TV channels including ITV (UK) and MTV Europe.

 

 

 

Tony HartTony Hart is director of business development. He has 25 years of experience in sales and marketing in the computer, networking and telecoms industries. He has worked for leading companies in these sectors including Intel Corporation, where he ran the European video-conferencing business, and RM plc, where he was sales manager for the education market. Prior to joining Packet Vision, he ran the European telecoms marketing team for Cisco Systems. Tony has an MA in Engineering Science and Economics from Oxford University and an MBA from Henley Management College.

 

 

 

Ian Peacock Packet Vision cheif financial officerIan Peacock is chief financial officer. He has held a number of senior finance and operations roles in the last 14 years with technology companies, both public and private, and has extensive experience of helping them develop their operations internationally. Prior to moving into commerce, Ian spent 10 years in public practice with Ernst & Young and PricewaterhouseCoopers. He has a First Class honours degree in Biology & Computer Science from York University and is a qualified chartered accountant.

 

Chris Churn Packet Vision software development managerChris Churm is Packet Vision’s software development manager. He has 17 years’ experience in embedded systems software development, engineering open standards-based solutions for the data communications and telecommunications sectors. He has considerable experience in designing and developing ISDN terminal adaptor and remote access server products for worldwide deployment. Before joining Packet Vision Chris was VP VoIP Technology for VegaStream Limited, where he spent seven years heading up the onshore and offshore software development teams for VoIP gateway products. Chris has a BSc (Hons) First Class in Mathematics/Physics from the University of London.

 

Ian Raven hardware development managerIan Raven is hardware development manager and has worked in the data communications and telecoms sectors for 17 years. He has been involved in the hardware design of many product types including air traffic control communication systems, data communication ISDN redundant backup systems, military radio systems and voice-over-IP communication systems. Prior to joining Packet Vision Ian spearheaded the hardware development of the second-generation voice-over-IP gateways at VegaStream. He has an MIEE and a BSc in Electronics Engineering from Bangor University.

 

Ravinder SiheraRavinder Sihera is operations manager and controls all end-to-end supply and manufacturing. Prior to joining Packet Vision she was logistics manager at VegaStream and has held various positions in procurement and general management in a variety of world-class technology, hospitality and leisure companies over her 18 year career. She has a MCIPS, a BA in English from Delhi University and a diploma in Business Studies from Langley College.

Richard George general manager for North AmericaRichard George is general manager for North America. He was previously at Telcordia Technologies, where he was Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Global Broadband and Cable Business Division and where he focused on bringing Internet Protocol (IP) products and services to market. Prior to that he spent significant time in the broadband, software, Internet, cable TV and satellite industries with senior management positions at Blueridge Broadband, High Speed Access Corp, Media One, Continental Cablevision and Comsat Corporation. He earned his law degree at McGill University in Montreal, Canada and he is also a graduate of the School of International Service at American University in Washington, DC.

Thierry Maupetit is director of Packet Vision FranceThierry Maupetit is director of Packet Vision, France. He has 19 years experience in sales, marketing and business development with a focus on media and hi-tech industries. He spent six years as senior vice-president of business development for Canal Plus Technologies, and more recently was managing director for Mikros Image. He has a degree in Finance, Economy and International Affairs from IEP Paris, and a master’s degree in Economics from Paris-Dauphine University.
