Packet Vision has forged strategic partnerships with market-leading IPTV network operators, middleware and application providers, broadcasters, aggregators, advertisers and their agencies. Packet Vision has teamed with SES Americom to enable telecommunications carriers in the US using SES AMERICOM’s IP-PRIME® IPTV service to generate advertising revenue through the insertion of targeted local ads. Using Packet Vision’s advanced IP-based advertising solution, operators offering IP-PRIME service will be able to maximize the use of their local ad avails by inserting ads for local and nationwide companies that are specifically directed to selected groups of consumers based on geographic locations or demographic profiles. The Packet Vision solution, the leading MPEG-4, IPTV technology for local ad insertion, will utilize the inherent advantages of IP-PRIME to allow IPTV service providers to generate local ad revenue, as the cable industry has successfully done for years. The companies plan to make the Packet Vision advanced video advertising service available to IP-PRIME customers in the first half of 2008. Packet Vision is a member of Juniper Network's J-Partner Solutions Alliance Program and offers its targeted, addressable and interactive advertising solutions as part of a bundle of services geared to the IPTV industry. Packet Vision enables telcos, broadcasters and advertisers to leverage targeted next generation advertising and provide a higher value service to viewers. Packet Vision and Juniper have been cooperating in the definition of combined network-based service architectures for IPTV operators in North America, Europe and Asia Pacific. Packet Vision’s managed addressable advertising service is available for demo at the Accenture Broadband Innovation Centre (ABIC) in Rome. Accenture provides technology consulting and systems integration services to the leading telecoms operators worldwide. |
