Packet Vision builds on commercial project

24th March, 2009 – London, UK –Packet Vision, the specialist service and technology provider of addressable TV advertising successfully concluded the 10,000th addressable commercial spot transmission on the UK national broadcaster Channel4 today.

This Packet Vision delivered commercial airtime has aired on Channel4 over INUK the closed IP networks Company which provides university students with a package of free and premium TV channels whilst they are living in halls of residents on university campus.

Airtime campaigns for some the most iconic advertising brands have been running on Channel4 since early October 2008 in a deal struck between Packet Vision, INUK Networks and the broadcaster.

31 TV advertising clients from agencies within the top six media holding companies (WPP, Publicis, Omnicom, Aegis, Interpublic and Havas) have taken part in the first phase of the project and 18 separate advertising categories have been covered including; Fast Food, Soft Drinks, Financial services, Confectionary, Sports apparel, Personal care, alcohol and breakfast cereals (a full list of participating advertisers is available on request).

Two advertisers have already used the service to place multiple advertising copy reaching specific universities within the network and there are further campaign bookings to deliver different commercial propositions to students specified by age, gender and even coursework.

WPP is the first media holding company to use the service at this level of granularity.
